Marina’s Ambrosia Products is proud to introduce to you a new branch of products for hair. After much compounding, trialing and testing, we believe we have nailed it.
True Henna or better known as Lawsonia Inermis, is a unique plant (leaves only are dried and ground) which gives an intense colour to your hair WITHOUT any chemicals. True Henna is beneficial for the body and hair as it boosts hair growth, treats dandruff, aids restful sleep, calming, detoxifying, soothes headaches, cools the scalp and also fights infection. True Henna gives your hair a natural shine, strengthens, thickens and lengthens the hair and is extremely conditioning to the scalp.
What more can we say??? Marina’s Ambrosia 100% Herbal Hair Colour uses NO PPD, No Ammonia, No Peroxide, No Chemicals … FULL STOP!
Not to be confused with the commercial Henna which contains PPD (otherwise known as Black Henna) or the synthetic forms of Henna Dyes. Commercial Henna and Syntheic Henna has been in use in western countries since the 1960’s.
True Henna is Lawsonia Inermis, which is mixed with other Indian Herbs which work with Lawsonia Inermis to stain the hair. Indio powder added to Lawsonia Inermis gives black colouring to the hair WITHOUT the use of PPD. PPD is contained in over 95% of black henna body ink which has irritated, inflamed and seriously damaged skin.
Marina’s Ambrosia 100% Natural Herbal Hair Colours contains NO CHEMICALS WHATSOEVER Guaranteed and it does NOT irritate nor cause side effects at all. Just pure Lawsonia Inermis which was used thousands of years ago in Ancient India, Ancient Egypt and all throughout the Middle East till this day. However, only the purest form is used with none of the commercial additives. For hundreds of years Lawsonia Inermis leaves were useful in treating wounds, skin infections, skin irriations and numerous other bodily complaints.

Indigo is grown from seed and is harvested bi-annually. Indigo plant grows to one to two meters high with small green leaves and purple colour flowers. Directions to apply Herbal Dyes
Surgical gloves need to be up on to save your hands from stains and slowly add hot water to the colour henna powder, to make an applicable paste. For long hair you may need 2 packets for the first time using this product. For short hair, only one packet will be sufficient. For reapplication for short hair only half the pack will be needed and for long hair reapplication only one packet will suffice. Divide the hair in four sections and apply paste on each from root to tip evenly. The henna can be left on the hair from 1 to 3 hours. Rinse off thoroughly. For best results blow dry with a hair dryer for 10-15 minutes or until hair is dry.
Please note that the colour applied darkens your hairs within 48 hours, so the final colour is obtained after 48 hours.
Caution! If you have dyed your hair chemically, you need to wait for 6-8 weeks before you can safely use Lawsonia Inermis.
Also, added to the range we have added special treatments using herbs that Indians and Middle Eastern ladies have used on their hair for centuries.
